Create an alarm limit set

The first step in setting up alternative alarm limits involves creating an almlimitset record. This record serves to group all of the alternative alarm limits that will exist for a specific point. Almlimitset records reference an almlimit record, which contains a particular set of alternative alarm limits.

Almlimitset records are stored in the almlimitset table, and configured and edited using the almlimitset Row Edit dialog box within the Advanced Database Editor (ADE). For general information on ADE and how to create records, refer to the Advanced Database Editor (ADE) Administrator documentation.

To create an alarm limit set

  1. In ADE, select View > Realtime and open the almlimitset Table Edit dialog box.

  2. Refer to Almlimitset Row Edit: Main tab for information on configuring the almlimitset Row Edit dialog box.
