Excel PI Template

In the AVEVA Enterprise SCADA 2020 configuration pathway, new PI points are created and configured using Excel Templates. These templates take the place of the PI Template table used in the pre-Columbia configuration pathway.

Since many of the fields in your system’s configured classic points will contain identically configured values, creating and using an Excel template allows you to quickly create new PI Tags. Using a template allows you to almost entirely forego having to repetitively configure the same values for the same fields each time you create a new classic point.
