RTU (Remote Terminal Unit) Player

The RTU (Remote Terminal Unit) Player is an application used to connect a simulated production SCADA system to a model emulating a real pipeline. This allows a Trainee to experience real-life operating scenarios without affecting real pipeline assets.

The RTU Player can be configured through modifications in the configuration file (RTUPlayer.json) of the RTU Player (RTUPlayer.exe) application.

You can modify the following general settings for the RTU Player. For additional settings, refer to Run the RTU (Remote Terminal Unit) Player and Work with simulation statistics.

• RefreshInterval: The timeout between cycles of refreshing telemetry points in the RTU Player. The default value is 2 seconds.
