Note: For information on overriding default configuration settings, refer to Modify configuration settings.

The standby RealTime server maintains a queue of recent Administrator notification messages. When a RealTime failover occurs, the newly Hot server generates system alarms based on the messages queued while it was in the standby state. AlarmSerialization, meanwhile, ensures that no duplicate system alarms exist.

The LogAdminPagesStbyMsgHoldingTimeSecs key value determines the amount of time that the standby RealTime server maintains Administrator notification messages in queue.

Note: if the key value does not exist, the value defaults to 15 seconds.

To configure the holding time for alarm messages on the standby RealTime server

  1. Open a new instance of Notepad and paste in the following text:

    {

    "RealTime": {

    "LogAdminPagesStbyMsgHoldingTimeSecs": 20

    }

    }

  2. For the value, enter the amount of time (in seconds) that the standby RealTime server maintains Administrator notification messages in queue.

  3. Save the file as %DNADataRoot%\RealTime\config\Settings\RealTime_logAdminPager.json.

  4. Restart the RealTime service.
