The TableEditFormPlugIn element is nested under the DataSetTable element. If the ApplyFieldRules attribute in the XML file is set to true, you can use the TableEditFormPlugIn element to specify constraints for the Table Edit form.

Note: The TableEditFormPlugIn element definition must come before the RowEditFormPlugin element definition; otherwise, the system will generate an error and fail to compile the Advanced Database Editor (ADE) form.

Important

  • Modifications to plugins within the definition files do not take effect until ADE is restarted. There is no need to compile the changes.

  • If both the RowEditFormPlugIn and TableEditFormPlugIn plugins are used in an XML file, you must define the TableEditFormPlugIn plugin before the RowEditFormPlugIn plugin. Otherwise, the system will generate an error message saying that TableEditFormPlugIn is not supported when running the DBEditDisplaySchemaMerge command.
