The table below includes a list and description of the JSON keys used by the Application Calculation Engine (ACE).
JSON Key |
Description |
|---|---|
"ACE" > "RUN_FREQUENCY" |
This key controls how often (in milliseconds) procedures are checked for their ability to run. The default value is 5000 milliseconds (5 seconds). If the value specified is not between 100 milliseconds and 14000 milliseconds, then the default value is used. |
"ACE" > "MAXIMUM_EXECUTION_ THREADS" |
This key lets you specify the maximum number of threads that can be used to run the ACE procedures at any one time. The default value is 5. The minimum allowed value is 1 and the maximum is 20. If the key is set to a value outside of that range, the value will be invalid. Note: The ACE will only use as many threads as there are cores in the computer but with one less thread. For example, if the "MAXIMUM_EXECUTION_THREADS" is set to 19, but the computer only has 8 cores, then the ACE will only use 7 threads. However, if the "MAXIMUM_EXECUTION_THREADS" is set to a value lower than the number of cores minus 1, then this value will be the maximum number of threads used. |
"ACE" > "PROCEDURE_TIMEOUT" |
This key controls the maximum time (in milliseconds) for ACE to run an ACE Configuration (aceconfig) routine. If this maximum time is exceeded, ACE logs an error in the ACEEngine error log, but no alarm or event is generated. The default value is 2000 milliseconds (2 seconds). If the value specified is less than 1000 milliseconds (1 second), the default value will be used. |
"ACE" > "RUNAWAY_TIMEOUT" |
This key controls the time (in milliseconds) before the ACE disables a running record. The ACE will then log an alarm stating that the record has been disabled. Finally, the ACE will log a message stating that it is restarting due to a stuck procedure and then close, causing the process monitor to restart it. The default value is 90000 milliseconds (90 seconds). |
"ACE" > "IDLE_SLEEP" |
This key controls the time (in milliseconds) the ACE will wait before performing a Hot check while RealTime is in Standby mode. The default value is 1000 milliseconds (1 second). |
"ACE" > "DELAY_AFTER_HOT" |
This key controls the time (in milliseconds) that the ACE will wait after RealTime goes Hot to reduce contention. The default value is 60000 milliseconds (1 minute). |
"ACE" > "RUN_TIMEOUT" |
This key controls the maximum time (in milliseconds) for the ACE to run all aceconfig routines in an entire run. If this maximum time is exceeded, ACE logs an error in the oasErrLog and the ACEengine error log. The default value is 5000 milliseconds (5 seconds). If the value specified is not between 1000 milliseconds (1 second) and 60000 milliseconds (1 minute), the default value is used. |
"ACE" > "SHUTDOWN_TIMEOUT" |
This key controls the maximum time (in milliseconds) between the detection of a runaway process (that is, a process that takes longer than the value of "RUNAWAY_TIMEOUT" to run) and the ACE restarting. This allows any other processes that are running to complete normally. The default value for "SHUTDOWN_TIMEOUT" is 10000. The minimum allowed value is 1000 and the maximum is 90000. |
