Ensure that the computer has the latest cumulative time zones update.
To recreate the Olson time zone database
-
Copy the rule files from the extracted tzdata<VersionNum> folder into the %DataDir%\Shared\sdk\3rdParty\ZoneInfo\tzdata\ folder.
-
Open a Windows Command Prompt.
-
Change the working directory to the %DataDir%\Shared\sdk\3rdParty\ZoneInfo\tzdata\ folder.
-
Execute the zic.exe command to generate the updated time zone databases.
For example:
<full path>\zic.exe -d ..\DB africa antarctica asia australasia
<full path>\zic.exe -d ..\DB europe northamerica southamerica
<full path>\zic.exe -d ..\DB etcetera factory backward
<full path>\zic.exe -d ..\DB windows
Notes: Specify the full path to the zic compiler instead of just ...\zic.exe.
It is safe to ignore warning messages that can result in cases where there are differences between the manufacturer's Operating System (OS) interface and the current computer OS, such as the following: ...time zone abbreviation differs from POSIX standard....
If the system generates a "File exists" error, delete the indicated file from the ..\DB folder and re-run the command. The output of the compilation is a set of binary data files, which are saved to the %DataDir%\Shared\sdk\3rdParty\ZoneInfo\DB\ folder.
