After completing the Datapump configuration and installation on each source system, you must verify the configuration on each source system. DPutil has some options that can help in the verification.

Verification Tool

Description

DPutil -G -S <service>

Reports typical errors such as:

  • Keytable does not contain the correct number of xfr_status (In which case MAX_DESTINATIONS is configured differently between the source system and the system that you used to generate the configuration files).

  • Datapump entry for <database>..<table> is a replace operation on a table with greater than 1000 rows.

    Note: The output from DPutil -G is not perfect. It may complain about a configuration that is correct, particularly in the use of keys within the Datapump table when more columns than those used by the first key defined in the table, is needed to guarantee a unique reference.

DPutil -M -S <service>

Reports tables that are not configured for Datapump.

Note: The tool does not check tables that contain the DPkey or pbcat substring.

DPutil -m -d <database> -S <service>

Reports procedures that modify tables but don't have a DPFill call.
