Display lists selected by Controllers are created and maintained by Administrators.
The steps involved in configuring a list of displays are as follows:
-
Create a displaylist record.
-
Create a displaylistdef record for each display belonging to the list.
-
Associate the displaylistdef records with the displaylist record.
Only with your "Operator" permission or higher are you able to start ("play") or stop the application. When the Controller selects a list of displays (a displaylist record) to run, the application opens and closes the displays configured in the associated displaylistdef records. However, the application only shows displays available to the current Controller based on their authority level and Areas of Responsibility (AOR). For example, if a display list contains four displays, and the current Controller logged on to the system only has permission to view two of those displays, the application only displays the two non-restricted displays.
