To configure the listen only connection for relay service mode

  1. Refer to OASyS DNA Socket Server Relay Service and proceed as follows:

    1. In the SocketServerRelayService.json file, configure a port pair as follows:

      • Port1: enter the port number of OASyS DNA Socket Server Relay Service (the port number indicated in the <port> section of the TCPListener.xml file).

      • Port2: enter the port to which the Listen Only connection connects.

    2. Start OASyS DNA Socket Server Relay Service.

  2. Navigate to the Main tab in the connection Row Edit dialog box.

  3. In the Protocol field, select the desired protocol that supports Listen Only polling mode.

  4. Navigate to the Scan Edit tab in the connection Row Edit dialog box.

  5. In the Comm. Mode field, select Listen Only.

  6. In the No communication timeout (sec) field, enter a value that is at least twice as large as the value appearing in the RTU Poll Delay (HH:MM:SS) field on the Scan Parameters tab in the remote Row Edit dialog box for the associated remote.

Configuring the No communication timeout (sec) field as such serves to avoid nuisance timeout alarms.

  7. Navigate to the Physical Connection Edit tab in the connection Row Edit dialog box.

  8. In the Term. Server/Host Name field, enter the IP address of the OASyS DNA Socket Server Relay Service.

Since OASyS DNA Socket Server Relay Service runs on the listening computer, typically this is either "localhost" or "127.0.0.1".

  9. In the Port Number field, enter the port number in the SocketServerRelayService.json file from Step 1 that pairs to the port in the <port> section of the TCPListener.xml file.
