Bind the dataset to the table

Populate your table element with the data from your query by binding the dataset to the table. The following is an example of manual binding, and more information on binding other elements is widely available on the internet.

To bind the dataset to a table

1. From Microsoft Visual Studio, open the report you want to work on and select the table element.

   

2. Drag the dataset that you want to bind into the table.

   

3. Right-click the dataset icon and select the field that you would like that cell to display the data for.

   

4. Repeat this process for any other cells.

   

5. Modify your table by adding or deleting columns as desired.
