Note: You must have selected the system / DAL config folder from the DAL System Selector.

To select a changeset from the Advanced Database Editor (ADE)

  1. Open the Advanced Database Editor (ADE).

The Management of Change (MoC) Available Changesets dialog box appears showing the changesets that are assigned to you.

  2. Select the changeset that you would like to record your changes to.

Note: If you select Read-Only Mode from the dropdown menu, you will not be able to make configuration changes in Advanced Database Editor (ADE) and a message box with the following message appears: ADE will be opened in configuration read-only mode. Changes to configuration data are not permitted without a changeset.

If MoC permissive mode (ManagementOfChangePermissiveMode) is enabled, configuration fields in Advanced Database Editor (ADE) can be modified regardless of this message, but will not be tracked as part of a changeset. For more information, refer to the Management of Change (MoC) User documentation.

  3. Select OK.

  4. Make changes in Advanced Database Editor (ADE) as desired.

These changes will be recorded to the changeset you selected in step 2.

Note: The selected changeset number (for example, changeset:1) will be displayed in Advanced Database Editor (ADE) allowing you to identify the changeset you are recording changes to. If you have not selected a changeset, changeset:Read-Only will be displayed.
