The following configuration settings apply to all Oracle connection types:

Registry Setting

Description

ORACLE_DATE_FORMAT

The format string for Oracle date conversions. The Default is dd-MON-yyyy hh24:mi:ss.

ORACLE_GENERATE_TABLE_ALIASES

If TRUE, Oracle table names will use the naming convention <DATABASE>_<table> (for example, TIMELINE_hour). The default is TRUE.

ORACLE_GMT_TO_DATETIME_CONVERSION

Used to tell Datapump to convert columns following the naming convention *timeordatefrom, an integer value, into a datetime value using the format ORACLE_DATE_FORMAT before writing to the destination.

  • If ZULU, Universal Coordinated Time (UTC), or Greenwich Mean Time (GMT), then Datapump will use Oracle's TO_DATE function to convert the GMT seconds into an Oracle datetime value in GMT.

  • If LOCAL, Datapump will convert the integer into a local time string, using the current local time offset and the ORACLE_GMT_DATE_FORMAT, and then convert the string into a datetime value which represents local time.

  • If NONE, no conversion will occur.

The default is LOCAL.

ORACLE_USE_ARRAYS_ON_INSERT

If TRUE, Datapump will commit each individual statement executed at the destination system. If FALSE, Datapump will not commit each statement but instead only commit after all rows from the source table have been processed. The default is TRUE.
