Create custom digital state sets

When defining a digital tag, you need to select a digital state set containing just the valid states of the digital tag. If this digital set does not exist in the PI server, you must create it. Use the PI System Management Tools (SMT) to create a custom digital set.

The PI server contains some pre-defined digital sets that represent the message sets within the RealTime database (RTDB) message table. You can create such digital sets via the Advanced Database Editor (ADE). For further information, refer to Select a digital set.
