Microsoft SQL Engine connection string

There are several connection string options available when connecting to the Microsoft SQL Engine. These options impact how the Microsoft SQL Engine interacts with the client application and allow a client to connect to different data sources.
Note: For a list of Open Database Connectivity (ODBC) connection string options that can be used to construct a DSN-less (data source name), fully qualified connection string, refer to the OpenAccess SDK Client Reference (third-party documentation). This document also explains the difference between a DSN-based and a DSN-less connection string.
The table below defines the AVEVA Enterprise SCADA-specific connection string option. You can append this option to a DSN-based or a DSN-less connection string when connecting to the Microsoft SQL Engine. This option is not case-sensitive.
