You can remove a regular expression (RegEx) by defining an XML file with the <name> portion of the file name replaced with Remove.
To remove a RegEx
-
Navigate to the following directory:
%DNADataRoot%\ADE\config\ADE\Regex
-
Create a modified version of the original XML file.
For example, if the original file is named ADERegex.xml, name the modified version of the file ADERegex.Remove.xml.
-
Within the modified version of the file, define the RegEx you want to remove.
-
Close all sessions of the Advanced Database Editor (ADE) currently running on the machine.
-
Restart ADE.
