NMC property pages only show direct Member and Member Of relationships; however, memberships are nested. For example, being a member of a DNA Authority will automatically grant memberships in its set of DNA Permissions. The DNA Identity Test tool displays the permissions, the Area of Responsibility (AOR) and application settings that are granted when a user's entire chain of memberships are evaluated and console restrictions are applied.
User permissions and application settings can be affected by the computer that the user has logged into. In the case of console restrictions, a computer can have AOR restrictions and View-Only permission restrictions that reduce the user's final set of permissions. For application settings, a computer can have the easy eXtended Operator Station (ezXOS) default displays and t imeouts that can override the settings assigned to the user.
All of the user permissions, the AOR settings and computer permission / property assignments displayed in DNA Identity Test are configured in the NMC.
Note: If the computer you are logged into is not defined in the NMC, the properties of a computer named Default will be applied. If the Default computer is not defined in the NMC, the Baseline View-Only Configuration will be applied.
