Note: For information on overriding default configuration settings, refer to Modify configuration settings.
For reasons of performance and stability, the Advanced Database Editor (ADE) loads, by default, a maximum of 3,000 records into the Table Edit dialog box. If desired, you can raise or lower this limit. However, loading an excessively large amount of records can seriously affect response time. Filtering the data loaded into the Data grid as described in Populating Some Data from a Table: Filtered Load can help improve response time when dealing with tables containing a large amount of records.
To configure ADE to load all data
-
In the %DNADataRoot%\ADE\config\Settings directory, either create or open the ADE.json file.
-
In the following key, override the existing value with the desired value:
{
"ADE": {
"MAX_ROWS_TO_RETRIEVE": 3000
}
}
Note: Records loaded into ADE are considered "retrieved".
-
Save the file.
-
In the %DNADataRoot%\ADE\config\Settings directory, either create or open the DBEdit.MaxRows.json file.
-
In the following key, override the existing value with the same value you entered in step 2:
{
"DbEditDriver": {
"MAX_ROWS_TO_PROCESS": 3000
}
}
Note: Records loaded into Table Edit dialog boxes are considered "processed".
-
Save the file.
