Follow this procedure to generate an alarm at a recurring interval.

Before you begin

Complete the steps in Open the Add Reminder dialog box.

To add a recurring reminder

  1. In the Name field on the Add Reminder dialog box, enter a name for the reminder record.

Note: Any spaces used in the name will be replaced with _.

  2. In the Severity field, select the alarm severity associated with the reminder:

    • critical

    • high

    • major

    • medium

    • minor

    • low

    • none

  3. Select the associated Dataset.

Note: To associate the dataset with the reminder record, you must have distributed control and configuration permissions as defined by an Administrator in the DistribuSys mode control configuration.

  4. Select the Group to which you want to add the reminder.

Groups determine who sees the alarm. Groups are assigned to the Area of Responsibilities (AORs), which Administrators in turn assign to Controllers for view/control on login.

  5. In the Alarm Message field, enter the text of the alarm message.

  6. Select Recurring Alarm and configure the date on, and time at, which AVEVA Enterprise SCADA should generate the alarm.

  7. Under Recurring Alarm, do one of the following:

    • Select At specific date/time to configure the application to generate a reminder message on the basis of:

      • Month

      • Week of Month

      • Day

      • Time

    • Select Repeat Every to configure the application to generate a reminder message every so many hours and minutes.

  8. If you do not want the alarm to recur indefinitely, select Last Time and configure the date on, and time at, which you want the system to generate the last recurring alarm.

  9. Select Add.
