Configurable Gas Load (CGL)

Configurable Gas Load (CGL) consists of related RealTime database (RTDB) tables utilized by certain protocol drivers to control the behavior of gas commands (upload hourly, upload AGA, download GQ, etc.).

Note: Multiple Remote Terminal Units (RTUs) can share the same CGL configuration. The only condition is that the RTU must have the same firmware or RTU register mapping.

CGL uses the following RTDB tables:

  • Cglprototemplate ‒ used to configure gas load templates for protocols.

  • Cglprototemplatedef ‒ used to define and configure the parameters of gas load protocol templates.

  • Cgltemplate ‒ used to define and configure gas loads (cgltemplate records), which are subsequently used by the protocol drivers during polling.

  • Cgltemplatedef ‒ used to define and configure the parameters of gas loads (cgltemplate records).

  • Cglenum ‒ used to define and configure enumeration for gas functionalities such as upload history or upload AGA.

  • Cglenumdef ‒ used to define and configure all the possible values for a particular enumeration.

Parameters for cgltemplate records are stored in cgltemplatedef records. Each cgltemplatedef record contains the attributes of a given gas load template parameter.

Gasloadenum records serve as enumeration templates. Parameters for gasloadenum records are stored in cglenumdef records. Each cglenumdef record contains the attributes of a given enumeration template parameter.

The figure below illustrates the relationships among the tables.
