Specify a connection string

The RTU Composer application configuration allows you to specify the RealTime database (RTDB) Microsoft SQL access connection string, which disables the System Selector prompt in the RTU Composer and loads the connection string directly from the RTU Composer configuration file (RTUComposer.json). To specify a connection string

1. In the %DNADataRoot%\Tools\config\Settings directory, either create or open the RTUComposer.json file.

2. In the rtdbConfiguration object, modify the value of the connectionString key as per the example below:

   "rtdbConfiguration": {

   "connectionString": "FIL=MS Access;DSN=localrtdb"
