The Group element is used to create a tab on a form.

Note: All attributes are required unless indicated as optional.

The attributes of the Group elements of a form are as follows:

  • DataDisplayWidthMax is the value used to set the width—in pixels—of the control element that displays the field data in the Group element if the DisplayWidthToUse attribute of a nested field element is set to Maximum.

  • DataDisplayWidthMedium is the value used to set the width—in pixels—of the control element that displays the field data in the Group element if the DisplayWidthToUse attribute of a nested field element is set to Medium.

  • DataDisplayWidthMin is the value used to set the width—in pixels—of the control element that displays the field data in the Group element if the DisplayWidthToUse attribute of a nested field element is set to Minimum.

  • Optional: IsVisible controls whether or not the Group element appears in the form. If set to true, the Group element will appear in the form. If set to false, the Group element will not appear in the form.

  • Label is the name of the Group element to display on the form.

  • LabelDisplayWidth is the maximum width in pixels of the Group label.

  • Name is the name of the Field element.

  • Optional: ToolTipText is the description of the Group element that appears when you hover the mouse pointer over the element.
