Configure the Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP) record

Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP) records are stored in the snmp table, and are automatically created when the Protocol field on the Main tab in the remote Row Edit dialog box is set to SNMP. Snmp records are edited using the snmp Row Edit dialog box.

Before you begin

Complete the steps in Create a remote record.

To configure the snmp record

1. On the Main tab in the remote Row Edit dialog box, select Protocol Record Edit.

   The Main tab in the snmp Row Edit dialog box opens.

2. Refer to Snmp Row Edit: Main tab for information on configuring the snmp Row Edit dialog box.

After configuring the snmp Row Edit dialog box, proceed to Connect the remote to one (or multiple) communication line(s).
