Follow this procedure to determine whether or not abnormal and/or normal alarms are inhibited on the point.

In the following procedure, an analog point is used as an example. The procedure is the same for rate, tank, and flowTotalConfig points. The Analog Control dialog box is opened through either a station schematic or the Analog Summary window. For information on the Analog Summary window, refer to the AVEVA Enterprise SCADA HMI Controller documentation.

To view a point's alarm inhibit status

  1. Open the Analog Control dialog box.

Abnormal, and possibly normal, alarms are inhibited on the point if the checkbox to the left of Inhibit Alarms is selected.

  2. Select Inhibit Alarms.

The Alarm Inhibit dialog box opens.

The Alarm Inhibits and State Alarm Inhibits sections display any inhibits currently in effect. The Operator Timed Inhibit checkbox is discussed in the procedures below.
