A Controller places one of the failed remotes offscan

If a Controller places one of the remotes that contributed to the line failure offscan, the following occurs on the Connection Summary window:

  • The Failed Remotes count decrements by one.

  • If the number of failed remotes falls below the threshold for the connection configured by the Administrator, the Line State changes from "Failed" to "Suspect".

If the alarm state is removed, the system:

  • Removes the line failure alarm from the Alarm Summary window

  • Generates an event with the following Message: Line suspect on connection NameOfLine (was failed). Remote NameOfRemote was put offscan or connection failure limit changed.

After you put the last failed remote offscan, the following occurs:

  • On the Connection Summary window:

    • The Line State changes from "Suspect" to "Normal".

    • The Failed Remotes count becomes zero.

  • The system generates:

    • An event indicating a normal line.

    • A Return-to-Normal alarm for the connection.
