Separate top of day and averages rollup

When pipelines span multiple time zones, companies must capture accounting data for operational days that have different starting hours. This application allows Administrators to define the top of day on a point-by-point basis, rather than globally for all points. This ensures that operations occur in multiple time zones with daily aggregations that are correct for that time zone.

The following steps are involved in configuring the application:

1. Enable the Group Top of Day feature.

2. Create a groupTOD record, which holds information on the top of day for a particular time zone. During this process, the group record associated with analog, status, rate, multistate, and/or flowTotalConfig points in that time zone is in turn associated with the groupTOD record.

3. Enable the calculation of averages in the analog, status, rate, multistate, and/or flowTotalConfig records associated with the group record from step 2.

4. (Optional – for reporting purposes) Calculate Historical values based on the top of day associated with points on collect.
