Configuration of distributed project records requires knowledge of both network topology, and the operational interaction between the systems within the distributed project.
About this task
Follow these steps in order to configure a distributed project. Note that Areas of Responsibility and groups must be configured before the three tasks in step 1 can be completed.
-
Configure the following records in the order listed:
-
doas_dataset records
-
doas_mode records
-
doas_privileges records
-
-
Save the database.
-
Run the createSlotRange script.
-
Run the createCMXRepSubscriptions.exe command.
-
Distribute save.dat, all *.init files, and all files and folders that require replication.
-
Assign dataset values to the telemetry records.
The createSlotRange script automatically generates doas_storage, while the createCMXRepSubscriptions.exe command generates default subscription files. Configuring the distributed project in this order ensures that the links within the tables are maintained.
