AVEVA Enterprise SCADA

Classic table

  • Last UpdatedApr 24, 2025
  • 2 minute read

The classic table shows all the configured classic points in the PI Server. This window provides a way of adding, modifying and deleting classic points.

The classic table is synchronized with the PI Server.

Classic records are configured using the tabs on the classic Row Details or Row Edit dialog boxes.

Note: You cannot delete a PI Tag in the classic table using the Advanced Database Editor (ADE). If you were to delete a PI Tag from ADE, AVEVA Enterprise SCADA would remove the tag from the PI Server and you would be unable to retrieve any history data stored for that PI Tag. If you do not want the PI interface to collect data for a PI Tag, clear the Enable Scan checkbox on the Attributes tab of the classic Row Edit dialog box.

If you still want to delete a PI Tag, use the PI SMT tool provided by OSIsoft.
