Follow this procedure to modify the time zones available for selection through the Gas Applications Configuration tab in the Remote Row Edit dialog box.
For more information, refer to volume 1 of the RealTime Administrator documentation.
To configure the available time zones
-
Open Windows Explorer, and navigate to %DNADataRoot%\RealTime\config\Settings.
-
If a RealTime_TimeZones.json file exists, open it for editing.
Alternatively, create a new RealTime_TimeZones.json file if the file does not exist in the %DNADataRoot%\RealTime\config\Settings directory.
Note: The same named file located in %DNAInstallRoot%\RealTime\config\Settings can be used as a reference.
-
Add time zones, ensuring that the POSIXFormat is specified.
The following example illustrates the addition of 2 time zones:
Notes: There are two parts in the example time zone configuration. The Hawaiian Standard Time time zone name string must follow Olson format. The POSIXFormat attribute string must follow Portable Operating System Interface (POSIX) format.
Note that POSIX format uses positive signs for west of Greenwich and negative signs for east of Greenwich. For example, Etc\\\\GMT+10 refers to a timezone that is 10 hours behind, or west, of Greenwich, while Etc\\\\GMT-9 refers to a timezone that is 9 hours ahead, or east, of Greenwich. When you select Use Daylight Savings Time in the Gas Application Configuration tab of the remote Row Edit dialog box, the system uses the first part of the time zone name string (Hawaiian Standard Time) to determine the time zone. When you clear the checkbox, the system uses the POSIXFormat (Etc\\\\GMT+10) attribute string to determine the time zone.Important: Ensure there are no spaces in the time zone name string and the POSIXFormat attribute string.
