The On Call application provides AVEVA Enterprise SCADA Controllers with functionality to organize and configure contacts. Contacts who are "on call" receive an email or text message when specific measurement or AVEVA Enterprise SCADA alarms occur.
The OnCall Contact Summary window provides the following types of contact information:
-
Company
-
Emergency
-
Stations
-
Third-Party
-
Logistic
You can configure the application to notify an on call technician when an alarm occurs within a station assigned to him/her. The technician can receive alarms in one or more of the following ways:
-
Via email
-
Via Short Message Service (SMS)
Note: The application does not alter the way in which AVEVA Enterprise SCADA displays and annunciates alarms.
In the On Call application, you can create contacts and associate them with either certain stations or all stations in the system. When any point at a station enters an alarm condition, all on-call contacts associated with the station receive either an email, or, if using a customer-supplied email to an SMS gateway, a text message.
The Email Alarm Notification application allows you to create email notification recipients, and add them to email notification distribution lists (alertGroups). These alertGroups are then associated with selected telemetered points. When one of these telemetered points enters an alarm state configured for email alarm notification, all recipients belonging to the alertGroup receive the alarm.
