The DNAChangeset command line tool can be used to view a summary of the changeset entries and associated metadata in .CSV files. The information provided in the files depends on the changeset type.
The following is an example of the contents of a .CSV file:
Changeset (Displays:4) Display
Id 10 (Open) Display: 'displaytitle' 'desc' Path: \test.xem
Id 10 (Open) Display: 'displaytitle' 'desc' Path: \test2.xem
Id 10 (Open) Display: 'displaytitle' 'desc' Path: \test3.xem
Id 10 (Open) Display: 'displaytitle' 'desc' Path: \test4.xem
Note: For insert/delete operations, the entries are abbreviated to only include the key field.
To view and verify the content of a specific changeset summary
-
On the desktop, double-click the Windows PowerShell for DNA shortcut.
Windows PowerShell for DNA opens.
-
Execute the following commands:
set-silo RealTime
dnachangeset summarize --type <type> --changeset <changeset id> --path <summary path>
Where:
-
--type <type> describes a valid changeset type (for example, --type display).
Note: A combination of changesets can be packaged together in the same package file. Currently, only RealTime database (RTDB) (realtime) and display type changesets are supported by the DNAChangeset tool.
-
--changeset <changeset id> is the identification number of the specific changeset you want to view.
-
--path <summary path> describes the full path to the file to which you want to write the changeset summary.
Notes: The above parameters are mandatory for each command.
Only full file paths are accepted; relative paths cannot be used.
If the specified file already exists, it will be overwritten. The dnachangeset summarize --type display --changeset 6 --path C:\temp\cset6.csv command would result in the following output:
Displays Affected: 1
Changeset summary written to C:\temp\cset6.csv.
