Disable monitoring of removable disks

Certain types of removable disks may present themselves to the Windows Management Instrumentation (WMI) driver as if they are local fixed disks. This misrepresentation can cause problems if a full — or almost full — disk is mounted while AVEVA Enterprise SCADA services are running. In the worst case, it may result in the WMI Monitor automatically shutting down the AVEVA Enterprise SCADA services.
Larger USB drives—such as those used for backups—are more likely to misrepresent themselves to Windows as local fixed disks. Usually there are no problems with the smaller capacity USB devices such as thumb drives or memory sticks.
If this is a concern for your project, you must modify the WMI Monitor configuration to explicitly include only those hard drives that you want to be monitored.
