The StoreAndForward Details dialog box can be used to configure Store and Forward replication.

The dialog box in the figure above allows you to set the system that needs a replication route, the type of route that a system uses, and its destination. The following table describes how to use its fields to configure Store and Forward replication.

Field Name

Description

System Name

Enter the name of the system for which you want to configure a route. This system will deliver data.

Note: If a StoreAndForward record is not created to link a system to a destination system, replication will not occur between the systems.

Route Type

Select the route type. Choices are:

  • store and forward - The system uses a Store and Forward route to replicate and deliver data if the destination must forward the data elsewhere. All routes that will contain forwarded data should use this as their route type.

  • direct - The system replicates data straight to another destination system and none of the data needs to be forwarded again.

Destination System

Enter the name of the system that receives the data.

Note: The StoreAndForward table is listed as Custom Replication in the Advanced Database Editor (ADE). Before StoreAndForward Records can be created, doas_privilege records should be configured for each route. After making modifications to the StoreAndForward table, you must run createCMXRepSubscriptions.exe to specify the data that is shared between connected systems.
