To determine whether or not you can inhibit alarms on a point for a configured amount of time, access the Control dialog box for the point of interest.
In the following procedure, a status point is used as an example. The procedure is the same for rate, multistate, rtstring, connection, and remote points. The Status Control dialog box is opened through either a station schematic or the Status Summary window. For information on the Status Summary window, refer to the AVEVA Enterprise SCADA HMI Controller documentation.
To view a point's alarm inhibit status
-
Open the Status Control dialog box.

Abnormal, and possibly normal, alarms are inhibited on the point if the checkbox to the left of Inhibit Alarms is selected.
-
Select Inhibit Alarms.
The Alarm Inhibit dialog box opens.

The checkboxes indicate the point's alarm inhibit status. The first two checkboxes are read-only and appear clear or selected based on Administrator configuration.
The Operator Inhibit checkbox is discussed in the procedures below.
