You can use the Management of Change (MoC) Package tool (dnapackage) to add file attachments to an existing MoC package. An attached file is a file that can be included in the package. The attached file does not get installed on the destination server using the dnapackage install command.
Notes: There is a maximum size of 20 mb per attached file, and a maximum of 100 files that can be attached to a single package.
To attach a file
-
On the desktop, double-click the Windows PowerShell for DNA shortcut.
Windows PowerShell for DNA opens.
-
Execute the following commands:
set-silo RealTime
dnapackage attach –package <package file path> --path <attachment file path> [--overwrite]
Where:
-
--package <package file path> is the fully qualified path to the package file you want to attach to the file.
-
--path <attachment file path> is the fully qualified path to the file you want to attach to the package.
-
--overwrite is an optional parameter to replace a file in the package if it has already been attached.
For example:
dnapackage attach --package C:\temp\package.pkg --path C:\temp\readme.txt
