AVEVA Enterprise SCADA

Rate Reasonability alarm suppression cancellation

  • Last UpdatedApr 24, 2025

When Administrators configure a rate record with a "Hold-Off Override Multiplier", the system uses this value in calculating an override limit. If a rate point with a suppressed Rate Reasonability alarm reports a flow rate that exceeds the calculated override limit, AVEVA Enterprise SCADA immediately cancels alarm suppression and generates a Reasonability alarm, the outcome of which is described above in Rate Reasonability alarm condition.

The Operational Activities Summary window displays the following two messages:

  • Reasonability alarm holdoff has been canceled due to override condition.

  • REASONABILITY from NORMAL. Flowrate <value> has exceeded Reasonability Limit <value>. The last good flowrate <value> will be retained.
