Application Calculation Engine (ACE) scripting, like scripting in other products, such as the eXtended Editor (XE), relies on .NET assemblies to provide the classes and the methods required for use by your scripting code. Some of the necessary assemblies are loaded automatically for the code to reference.
A list of the default assemblies available to the ACE code (acecode) can be found in Available Assemblies. In addition to the default assemblies, ACEEditor and ACEEngine each have their own Assembly List files. You can add new assemblies into either file to extend scripting support available to the acecode. Additional assemblies are integrated into the system, and all of the default assemblies and the assemblies that appear in both files are loaded into the ACEServer and ACEClient, which provides Intellisense for a greater number of assemblies.
Any assemblies used by the acecode must be installed on all RealTime servers running or compiling that acecode. Extending scripting in this way can give you access to assemblies that are not included by default, in addition to access to third party assemblies. Modifying the available assemblies affects both the RealTime operation of the ACE as well as compiling and Intellisense in the ACE Editor.
