The heartbeat monitor does not generate any alarms or events against a heartbeat record, but alarms and events can be generated against the Control Point that is referenced in a heartbeat record. Follow this procedure to inhibit alarms and events that the system may generate against the Control Point as a result of a heartbeat command.
Note: In the following procedure, an analog record is used as an example. The procedure is similar for configuring status records.
-
Open the Advanced Database Editor (ADE), and locate the analog table.

-
Expand the analog table to reveal all the analog records.
-
Locate the analog record that is configured as the Control Point of the heartbeat record. If there are too many records, enter the name of the record in the Name column.
-
Double-click the analog record.
The analog Row Edit dialog box appears.

-
Select the Inhibits tab.
The configurable fields appear.

-
Select Inhibit Auto Command Alarms to inhibit any alarms that may be generated as a result of a heartbeat command.
-
Select Inhibit Auto Command Events to inhibit any events that may be generated as a result of a heartbeat command.
