Follow the procedure below to generate stateless alarms for child points in indefinite alarm suppression
To configure the generation of state alarms
-
In the %DNADataRoot%\RealTime\config\Settings directory, either create or open the RealTime_AlmSuppressRTN.json file.
-
The file contains the following key-value pairs:
"ALMSUPPRESSION_INDEF_RTN": true
"ALMSUPPRESSION_STALEREMOTE_CANCEL": true
-
For the ALMSUPPRESSION_INDEF_RTN key, do one of the following:
-
Set the value to TRUE to have the system generate stateless alarms for child points in indefinite alarm suppression.
-
Set the value to FALSE to retain any pre-existing alarms on a child point in the Alarm Summary window for the period of alarm suppression.
-
-
For the ALMSUPPRESSION_STALEREMOTE_CANCEL key, do one of the following:
-
Set the value to TRUE to cancel alarm suppression for indefinitely suppressed points when the polling remote is staled (default legacy behavior).
-
Set the value to FALSE to keep the system from canceling alarm suppression. Alarm suppression will remain in effect after the remote resumes polling.
-
-
Save the file.
-
Restart the AVEVA Enterprise SCADA RealTime service.
