Before you begin

Configure the fields on the Main tab in the dnlist Row Edit dialog box as outlined in Dnlist Row Edit: Main tab.

To configure the download list for remotes using the Bristol Standard Asynchronous Protocol (BSAP)

  1. On the Main tab in the dnlist Row Edit dialog box, select Configure Download List.

The Download List Configuration dialog box opens.

  2. In the Communication Protocol field, select BSAP.

The Download List Configuration dialog box updates with fields specific to the BSAP protocol.

  3. In the Send by field, select one of the following:

    • List โ€“ the protocol driver writes all values to the same BSAP list.

    • Signal name โ€“ the protocol driver writes each value with the signal name.

If you select List, the following occurs:

    • An additional List # field appears.

    • The RTU Coordinate field is hidden.

  4. If you selected List in the Send by field, then:

    1. Select the List # to which the points belong.

    2. Proceed to the next step.

Otherwise, proceed immediately to the next step.

  5. In the # Points to download field, select the number of points contained in the list you want to download to the RTU.

Additional rows appear in the Point section to match the selected number of points.

  6. In the Database Path field, enter or select the path to the field you want to write to the RTU.

  7. For configuration sent via Signal name, enter the RTU Coordinate using the following format:

For the first character, enter either a letter, a digit, or any of the following characters:

    • @

    • #

    • _

    • .

For the remaining characters, enter either one or more letters, a digit, or any of the following characters:

    • _

    • .

      Coordinates allowed (examples): Base..Ext.Attribute, #TIME.002, ..EXT.234, 753ABC, @._123.

      Coordinates not allowed (examples): @@.EXT.234, #@.BASE, BASE@123.

For help in configuring this protocol-specific output address, please refer to your specific remote or protocol documentation.

  8. Select Quality Bit to have the driver update the Questionable Data bit for the given signal based upon the status of the RealTime database (RTDB) point in AVEVA Enterprise SCADA.

If the point is stale (flag.fresh = no), the driver sets the Questionable Bit to On (true). Otherwise, it sets the Questionable Bit to Off (false).

  9. Repeat the three steps immediately above for all points belonging to the download list.
