Collect records are used to configure the collection of data from the Analog, Rate, Remote and Status tables. Collect records are located in the Collect table and are configured using the collect Row Edit dialog box.

The collection of some types of data (such as event messages and communication statistics) and their transfer into the Historical database (HDB) is performed automatically. However, the collection of data from analog, rate, remote, and status tables can be configured.
Note: The Record Deletion checkbox cannot be selected from the collect Row Edit dialog box or from the collect Table Edit dialog box. Instead, when a collect record is deleted from ADE, the checkbox will be automatically selected (in both the collect Table Edit dialog box and the collect Row Edit dialog box) signifying that the record is marked for deletion. The record will then be deleted once it is no longer used by any RealTime process. The checkbox is disabled by default in order to ensure that there is no conflict between marking a collect record for deletion and actual record deletion.
