Add comments under a SubGroup (SubGroup)

To add comments under SubGroup (SubGroup)

1. Navigate to the following directory and open the XML file for the form to which you want to add groups (as per our example, the file in question is farm.xml or farm.Alter.xml):

   %DNADataRoot%\ADE\config\ADE\DBEdit\Schema\[baseline | custom]

2. In the file, locate the SubGroup element under which you want to add the comment:

   <SubGroup

   Name="Level Alarming"

   Label="Level Alarming"

   IsArray="false"

   ToolTipText="">

   <Comment

   Name="DeadbandComment"

   CommentText="This deadband defines the limit when an alarm is triggered.">

   </Comment>

   <Field

   ...

3. Save and close the file.

4. On the desktop, double-click the Windows PowerShell for DNA shortcut.

   Windows PowerShell for DNA opens.

5. Execute the DBEditDisplaySchemaMerge command (refer to Merge all DBEdit XML files).

   The new comment appears on the form.
