Enabling Gas Commands for Host Calculated Meters

Note: For information on overriding default configuration settings, refer to Modify configuration settings.

By default, the system checks the data source of all meters. If it detects that a meter's volume calculations are performed by AVEVA Enterprise SCADA ("Host Calculated"), as opposed to being done by the device out in the field, it prevents the execution of gas commands.

To enable gas commands for host calculated meters

1. In the %DNADataRoot%\RealTime\config\Settings directory, either create or open the RealTime_libkrng.json file.

2. Change "RealTime" > "CHECK_METER_CALCULATION_SOURCE" from YES to NO.

   Setting the value to NO disables checking of the meter's data source and allows all commands to continue.

3. Save the file.

4. Restart the RealTime service.
