You can use the dbput command line tool to add a change into an existing RealTime database (RTDB) changeset.

To add a change into an existing RTDB changeset

  1. On the desktop of the Hot RealTime computer, double-click the Windows PowerShell for DNA shortcut.

    Windows PowerShell for DNA opens.

  2. Execute the following command:

    set-silo RealTime

  3. On the command line, run the dbput command line tool, and specify the -c parameter.

For example, the command line could be dbput -c 4 analog.1.name = "analog name"

    Where:

-c 4 specifies dbput should associate the change with changeset number 4.

Note: If you attempt to insert, update, or delete a record, the record will be locked with the given changeset. Until the record is disassociated from the changeset, no other changeset can be used to make changes to it. If you attempt to change this type of record, there will be an error message: This record is already associated with another changeset. Refer to the AVEVA Enterprise SCADA error log file to identify the changeset associated with the record.
