Administrators can configure separate High, Low, HighHigh, and LowLow alarm limits for an analog, a rate, a flowTotalConfig, or a gascontract point via the appropriate tab in the point's Row Edit dialog box.

Note: In the following procedure, an analog point is used as an example. The procedure is similar for configuring rate and gascontract records, but slightly different for flowTotalConfig points (as described below). The analog Row Edit dialog box is opened through the analog table listing in the Advanced Database Editor (ADE). For more information on the analog table, refer to RealTime tables.

To configure separate alarm limits

  1. Navigate to the Alarming tab in the analog Row Edit dialog box.

Note: For flowTotalConfig points, navigate to the appropriate Calc. Element [0-3] tab in the flowTotalConfig Row Edit dialog box.

  2. In the Level Alarming section, select one or more of the following:

    • HiHi Alarm Check

    • Hi Alarm Check

    • Lo Alarm Check

    • LoLo Alarm Check

  3. Depending on your choices in Step 2, enter alarm limits in one or more of the following fields:

    • HiHi Alarm Limit

    • Hi Alarm Limit

    • Lo Alarm Limit

    • LoLo Alarm Limit
