Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP) Driver for OASyS

The Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP) Driver for OASyS (hereafter referred to as "the driver") is used to retrieve numeric data and perform read-only functions using the SNMP protocol. There are no setpoint or digital commands available for the driver.

The driver supports the following AVEVA Enterprise SCADA RealTime feature:

• Polling for RealTime variables (read current analog, status, rate, multistate, and rtstring points)

Configuration steps to use the driver in AVEVA Enterprise SCADA:

1. Create a connection record to communicate with the remote.

2. Create a remote record to represent the remote.

3. Schedule the desired protocol commands.

4. Configure the snmp record automatically created for the new remote record.

5. Connect the remote record to the relevant connection so the system knows how to communicate with the end device.

6. Configure analog, status, and multistate inputs and outputs.
