The Network Management Console (NMC) and services

The word "services" is used in many different ways throughout the Network Management Console (NMC). The following is a brief explanation of each service:

Service Types

Service types are the different services that can be installed within an AVEVA Enterprise SCADA installation. They are located under OASyS DNA Config > Service Types. They are configurable, such that new service types can be added to the set of existing services. For more information, refer to Service Types.

System Services

System services are services that have been installed on a particular system. They are located under OASyS DNA Config > Systems > <system> > Services. For more information, refer to Systems Object Services folder.

Machine Services

Machine services are services that have been installed on a particular computer. They are located under OASyS DNA Config > Systems > <system> > Computers > <computer> > Services. For more information, refer to Computers Object Services folder.
