This application monitors analog, status, and multistate points configured as critical points for any critical alarm conditions. If one of these points goes into alarm, the application sends you a Critical Alarm Active notification. This notification triggers two events:
-
The Critical Alarm window appears on your computer, assuming you have DNA Permission - Critical Alarms permission.
The Critical Alarm window notifies you that a critical condition exists in the system. The window stays in the foreground and cannot be manually closed: the window closes automatically after you either clear or acknowledge all critical alarms.
-
A status or multistate point controlling an audible alarm triggers AVEVA Enterprise SCADA to generate said alarm.
