To permanently override the default log file

  1. Do one of the following:

    • For a 64-bit client, copy the %DNAInstallRoot%\Tools\config\opcClient\opcClientWS_x64.xml file to %DNADataRoot%\Tools\config\opcClient.

    • For a 32-bit client, copy the file %DNAInstallRoot%\Tools\config\opcClient\opcClientWS_Win32.xml file to %DNADataRoot%\Tools\config\opcClient.

  2. To the configuration file, add the following entry before the port value:

    <log value="myOPC.log" description="Log File Location"/>

  3. Restart the OPC Client service.

    After the restart, the new log file will exist at %DNADataRoot%\Tools\log.
