Configure the Alarm Procedure base URL

The link record for the AlarmProcedureBaseUrl contains the base URL that will be added to the URL field in the alarmProcedure record in the event that a full address is not used (that is, does not start with http://). For more information on the alarmProcedure record, refer to Configure Alarm Procedure (alarmProcedure) records.

To configure a base URL for the alarmProcedure record

1. In the Advanced Database Editor (ADE), select View > System.

2. Do one of the following:

   • Select the plus icon (+) to expand the link table.

   • Double-click the table row to open the link Row Edit dialog box to create a new record.

   The link Row Edit dialog box appears.

   

3. In the Name field, enter AlarmProcedureBaseUrl.

   Note: The name entered must be AlarmProcedureBaseUrl. If another name is entered, the base URL in the link record will not be treated as the base URL for the alarmProcedure record.

4. Optional: In the Description field, enter a description of the record.

5. In the URL field, enter a base URL starting with http:// or https://.

6. Select Save.
